Tips for a Smooth Closing
  1. Get all required documents to your loan officer asap
    – Your loan officer can’t move forward with your loan unless all required documentation is received
  2. Ask questions
    – If you are unfamiliar with what you are being asked to do, whether it’s a document that you are not familiar with or if you don’t understand how to complete a task your loan officer asks of, please ask for me detail and we will help you get what we need.
  3. Provide us with as much information as possible
    – Too much information is better than not enough information
  4. Make a paper-trail for everything
    – This especially comes into play for any gift funds or liquidation of retirement funds that will be used for down payment
  5. Cash cannot be used for anything in the loan process because it cannot be documented. Don’t deposit cash into any accounts during or shortly before the loan process
  6. Identify your insurance agent early in the process
  7. Be thorough when providing bank statements or other asset account statements
  8. If your statement has 8 pages in it, we need all 8 pages, even if one or more of them are blank
